However, side sleepers will really appreciate its pillowy, pressure relieving feel. One side is just extra plush, while the firm side has a balance of support and softness.

The Purple Hybrid is a hybrid mattress a lot of people enjoy, including me, but it’s a one-of-a-kind bed some might not be ready for. However, if you prefer more firm mattresses (like back and stomach sleepers) and you’re not quite sold on memory foam, this is an excellent option for you among our best hybrid mattress picks.
Like all Purple models, this Purple mattress is made of a proprietary Hyper-Elastic Polymer material designed in a grid that sits in the bed’s top of a layer. However, this model featured on our best hybrid mattress list has a layer of motion isolating pocketed coils that makes it even more supportive and durable. The Purple Grid is what makes the bed so unique, as it’s not a foam material at all. It’s more comparable to a gel-like material instead.
With that said, it somehow manages to be soft and supportive at the same time. You can feel the little gel squares shift under your weight, but it’s something you get used to and it offers an extremely pleasant relieving feel for your back and joints. It almost feels like you’re floating, in the best way possible.
It’s also incredibly springy with the combination of the Purple Grid and its pocketed coils. Your kids could get some great air bouncing on this bed (although, I recommend they don’t for the bed’s sake). The Saatva mattress is a luxury online bed that looks just as pretty as it is comfortable. It also has one of the most supportive, durable constructions I’ve seen in a mattress as it utilizes two different coil layers. In the base layer, there’s a system of extra-strength dual coils that’s essentially a coil inside of a coil. This makes the bed ultra supportive and durable.
Above is a feature I have yet to see in a bed; It’s a thin “Lumbar Zone Active Spinal Wire,” that helps keep your spine in a neutral alignment. It’s subtle, but an impressive feature. Don’t worry, you don’t actually feel wire in the bed. Next comes the second, smaller system of pocketed coils that work to provide additional support, and they move independently from one another to isolate motion transfer. This multi-coil design makes for a bouncy, supportive hybrid bed.
The comfort layers are made with dense memory foam and a thick. plush 3-inch Euro-top that adds a light, fluffy and airy feel to the supportive, springy layers underneath. It reminds me of a luxury mattress you’d find in a fancy hotel. Though, if you prefer a little more contouring, or you weigh less than 150 pounds and find most mattresses too firm, you might find the Saatva mattress to be a little overbearing. Especially due to its dual-coil layers.
Saatva has three firmness levels to choose from and two height profiles. Back and stomach sleepers will love the Luxury Firm (rated a medium-firm) or the Firm (rated a true firm) models, and combination sleepers should opt for Plush Soft (rated a medium). The DreamCloud Hybrid mattress is a premium bed with a subtle memory foam feel that doesn’t give you the sensation you’re falling into a sinkhole like other memory foam beds do. Instead, it’s a little more responsive, and easier for combination sleepers to switch positions on. It’s also very pressure relieving, especially with the addition of its fluffy and lush pillow top.
On a scale from one to 10 on the firmness level, I’d rate this DreamCloud mattress right in the middle. That makes it perfect for a wide range of sleepers, from back, side, stomach and combination.
It’s a hefty mattress standing at 14 inches. It’s heavy, but it comes with handles on the side to make it easier to move around. One of my favorite things about this bed is its cashmere blend cover. It feels soft and comforting like a luxurious cashmere sweater.
I personally know two people who sleep on a DreamCloud mattress and they say they love it. It’s accommodating, comfortable and an all-around great bed for most people who enjoy the feel of neutral memory foam. I expected this bed to have one of the highest prices on this list, but it offers a great value. A queen size retails for $999, and DreamCloud often runs promos which add in extra accessories.

You’ve probably heard of the retail giant Walmart, but what you may not be too familiar with is their bed-in-a-box brand called Allswell. In true Walmart fashion, Allswell mattresses are extremely affordable. I’d argue they’re one of the best cheap mattress brands you can buy from while still having a quality mattress. What to look for in a mattress
Finding your perfect new mattress should come down to these key points: your dominant sleeping position, your body type, relevant health conditions, mattress materials and your budget. The position you sleep in most during the night will help you determine your ideal firmness level. Your weight should help you determine whether you should opt for the extra support of a hybrid mattress or a regular foam mattress. Sleeping position
