Google Assistant hasn’t seen much in the way of new features lately, as the company focuses on Bard and other AI efforts instead. But it’s still pre-installed on millions of devices around the world.

We can understand why you’d still be using voice assistants. For one, these assistants hook into smart home ecosystems, making it easy to activate and control your smart home gadgets. Furthermore, voice assistants are also incredibly useful for people with physical impairments that might make it difficult to operate a touchscreen.
Then again, I’ve never really been a fan of voice assistants. Maybe it’s because I’m just used to typing and don’t have a smart home ecosystem. Maybe it’s because I feel silly talking to my gadgets.
