Black Friday has evolved from a one-day shopping event to a full-on extravaganza, with sales lasting for weeks on end with various deals and promotions kicking off as early as October. While Black Friday promotions vary from store to store, one of the most exciting parts of the shopping season is when the ads start dropping, giving you a chance to start planning what you want to buy and where you can find it at the best price.
Until recently, most of us waited for Black Friday ad leaks, looking forward to what offers would be available at our favorite stores. Retailers wanted to keep the deals a secret, but that never worked out for them. Now, they start to release their ads as early as the beginning of November. We expect other major players to unveil their Black Friday ads soon, but we’ve compiled those available below. We’ll continue to update this list as new ones crop up.
Black Friday deals happening now
If you’re looking to take advantage of deep discounts, you don’t have to wait. These retailers have plenty of great deals right now.
Start date for sales: Oct. 27
Store hours: Check Best Buy’s store finder for local hours, however do note that Best Buy retail stores will not be open on Thanksgiving Day.
More info: Best Buy kicked off early Black Friday deals for members on Oct. 27, but that has now opened up to everyone as of Oct. 30. While the retailer’s official Black Friday ad scan has not yet been released, you can follow the link below to see Best Buy’s Black Friday deals that are available now, including discounts on TVs, laptops, headphones, smart home tech, kitchen gadgets and much more.

More info: Like last year, Walmart is splitting out its Black Friday sale into a few timed events, the first of which kicks off online on Nov. 8 at 3 p.m. ET. The second wave of deals arrives at the same time on Nov. 22. Walmart Plus members will get a three-hour early access window to nab the deals first online on those dates before a final Cyber Monday sale takes place on Nov. 27. There are plenty of great tech and home deals, though the $69 AirPods offer is sure to be popular.

More info: Not being a traditional big-box retailer, Amazon doesn’t really do a Black Friday ad but it has now previewed its Black Friday sale. The sale is slated to kick off on Nov. 17 with a Cyber Monday sale immediately following on Nov. 24 through Nov. 27. You can expect big savings on Amazon devices like Echo speakers and Kindle e-readers, of course, plus discounts on big-name brands like Dyson, Sony, Casper, Peloton, Nespresso and more.

More info: Target’s Black Friday deals officially launched Oct. 29 — and there’s even a price match guarantee now through Dec. 24 for items purchased at Target. They include sales on TVs, tablets, laptops, headphones, kitchen gear, vacuum cleaners and more. You can find Black Friday deals highlighted in the company’s weekly ad.

More info: B&H kicked off its Holiday Head Start Sale on Nov. 1. The company is offering a number of deep discounts on TVs, laptops, headphones, monitors, storage devices, soundbars and much more. Some deals end sooner than other items, so be sure to check the product page to see exactly when each discount will expire.

Store hours: Check Lowe’s store finder for local store hours
More info: Lowe’s kicked off its Black Friday Every Day sale Oct. 26 and has a number of early sales on appliances, power tools, fire pits, holiday decorations and more that are running through Nov. 8. We expect weekly ads from Lowe’s until the big day.

More info: As in previous years, Home Depot’s Black Friday sale is a monthlong event once again, with savings on power tools, appliances, seasonal decor and more that officially kicked off Nov. 1 and will run through Nov. 29. Home Depot stores will be closed on Thanksgiving. We expect more doorbuster-type deals to launch on Black Friday itself.

More info: Last year, Kohl’s had Black Friday deals spanning the month of November, with discounts on clothing, toys, electronics and more. Right now the company has launched an early access sale, which runs through Nov. 9. We’ll update with more of Kohl’s 2023 plans when we have them.
Start date: Nov. 24
Store hours: Last year’s hours were 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. We’re waiting for confirmation that this will remain true in 2023.
More info: JCPenney’s official Black Friday sale kicks off Nov. 24. However, the company’s early access sale is live now and will run through Nov. 5. You’ll find deals on clothing, small kitchen appliances, toys, jewelry, furniture and more.

Store hours: To be determined. Last year, stores were open 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. the week of Black Friday, with the exception of Thanksgiving. We will update once we find out more about this year’s hours.
More info: The official Black Friday sale at Macy’s kicks off on Nov. 19, but the company has announced that its Early Access Specials will kick off Nov. 10. The retailer already has previews of sales you can expect at the link below, including deals on fragrance, clothing, small appliances and much more, from some of the top brands like Calvin Klein, KitchenAid, Lego, Tommy Hilfiger and more.

More info: While early Black Friday deals will kick off officially on Nov. 13, starting Nov. 23 you’ll find online-only savings at Costco online. Select deals will be available both online and in-store, with others only being available in one place or the other. Be sure to browse all the deals ahead of time so you make sure you are shopping in the right place for the deals you want.

More info: Last year, Belk offered up to 75% off select doorbusters on Black Friday, with massive discounts on robot vacuums, diamond stud earrings, bedding sets and more. The retailer’s Black Friday sale will run from Nov. 17 to Nov. 25 this year online and in-store.

More info: HP’s big Black Friday sale will kick off on Nov. 24 this year. While there is not yet an ad full of deals to expect, we have seen up to 70% across HP’s range of desktop and laptop PCs, monitors and printers in the past, as well as plenty of gaming accessories.
