Locals said it was exciting to be in Manchester as Chanel held its prestigious Metiers d’Art show.
It is one of the highlights of the fashion calendar and a street in the city’s northern quarter became a rainy catwalk on Thursday night for the star-studded extravaganza.
The event was back in the UK for the first time in 15 years.
People in the city said Manchester was the perfect host because it was “an amazing city, its energy is uplifting and it is full of youth”.
