HP

The HP 15 laptop has an entry-level Intel Core i3-1215U, which will work fine for the majority of productivity costs. It also has a large, 15.6-inch screen running an FHD resolution and, more importantly, 8GB of RAM, which is about the minimum we’d like to see, and the same goes for the 256GB storage.

Asus

Having something budget-friendly doesn’t mean that it has to be subpar in terms of performance. Luckily, the Asus Vivobook 16 is surprisingly powerful, with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800HS processor under the hood, which will easily hit productivity work out of the park. It also has a pretty large 16-inch screen with a 1,600×768 resolution, which is a bit on the low side, but to be expected for this price.

Lenovo

Two-in-one touchscreens are very versatile, especially if you prefer something with a writing experience. It has a mid-range AMD Ryzen 5 7535U processor, which isn’t as powerful as some other options on this list, but it’s enough for most productivity and some editing tasks. RAM is a bit on the lower end as well at 8GB, although it won’t have a massive impact on you unless you love to have dozens of tabs and apps open at a time.

Dell

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly gaming laptop, the Dell G15 is a pretty excellent option that’s regularly suggested. While it isn’t the best, it does a good job of balancing various needs, with an RTX 3050, a Ryzen 5 7640HS processor and an impressive 16GB of DDR5 RAM.

While the M1 MacBook Air 13 is a bit older and has the older M1 chip, it’s still an excellent option if you want a MacBook without spending a ton of money. It also comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB, which is pretty good for an Apple MacBook, especially at this price. You also get up to four months of various Apple services, which sweetens the deal even more
