The IRS so far this tax season has sent nearly $93 billion in tax refunds to those who’ve submitted their tax returns. If you’re not one of the tens of millions who’ve received their refund yet, you can check the status of your tax return online.
Note that if you haven’t received your refund yet, it could be because you claimed the child tax credit or the earned income tax credit which takes a bit longer to process. By law, the IRS is required to wait till the middle of February at the earliest to process and send credit money.
