If a standard Porsche 911 is quite enough for you then this remarkable Baja-inspired model could be right up your rally.
This particular 911 started out life as a 964 Carrera 4 Cabriolet and was completely rebuilt by Russell Built Fabrication. Gone are all the original body panels and the car now has composite panels which also means it is 3-inches longer and 15-inches wider than a typical Carrera 4. The car has been listed up for sale on Collecting Cars and is the first in a number of ‘safari’ 911 builds that are in the works.

The listing reveals that the 911 has been equipped with bespoke suspension components fabricated from 7075-grade alloy and 4130 Chromoly steel. It has 12-inches of travel at the front and 13-inches at the rear and also rocks a custom-built FIA specification fuel cell.
Even though the car has been designed to tackle treacherous off-road conditions, the interior doesn’t skimp on luxury. In fact, Russell Built Fabrication has bathed the dashboard in black Alcantara, fitted a digital instrument cluster, a three-spoke Sparco steering wheel, and a Tilton Racing pedal assembly. The rest of the cabin, including the Sparco bucket seats, are finished in Olive Green leather.
Powering the Porsche is a custom-built 3.8-liter naturally-aspirated flat-six from Rothsport Road & Race that has independent throttle bodies, plenums, a Motec ECU, and a GT3 exhaust system. It pumps out 360 hp and drives the rear wheels.
Making the car all the more desirable is the fact that it has only been driven 5,200 miles (8,368 km) and is completely legal to drive on the streets of the U.S.
