This BMW M4 Competition KITH Edition Is An Unknown Rarity With Nearly $40k In Options

The current BMW M4 certainly stands out with its distinctive design, but even more unique than that is the KITH Edition of the car. Created from a collaboration between BMW and New York City-based apparel company KITH, the special M4 was limited to just 150 units for the entire world.

And on the off chance you were looking to get your hands on one, it’s your lucky day, as one has just appeared for sale on Cars & Bids with just 40 miles on the odometer. The base price of an M4 is $72,000, and that jumps up to $79,000 for the M4 Competition xDrive, which is what this car is based on. On top of that, the KITH package alone was reportedly a $30,700 option, and then the car boasts more than $7,000 in extras as well, bringing the total price up to around $117,000, with over $38,000 of that being options.

Thankfully, though, it seems as though the seller will get their money’s worth, as at the time of writing, the current bid has already reached $100,000 with four days remaining in the auction. However, it isn’t just price that the KITH package adds to this car. BMW Frozen Dark Silver Metallic paint, Tricolor M bucket seats, BMW x KITH roundels, and multiple KITH logos around the car are all specific to this special collaboration vehicle. The seller is also including a KITH 1/18-scale E30 M3 in the sale.

One thing that isn’t specific to this edition, though, is its powerplant, but that’s not a bad thing. A 3.0L twin-turbocharged inline-six sends 503 hp (510 PS / 375 kW) and 479 lb-ft (649 Nm) of torque to all four wheels, allowing for acceleration from a standstill to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.4 seconds on the way to a top speed of 155 mph (249 km/h), or 180 mph (290 km/h) with the M Driver’s Package.

Could this special-edition M4 end up being a future collectible? Do you think it’s a good investment? Let us know in the comments.
