Some drivers get a bad rap for a whole host of things but perhaps nothing more than failing to use their turn signals. One YouTuber that goes by the handle Jollygreencuts and who appears (and claims) to be driving an older generation E90 BMW 335d, seems to have taken it to a whole different level with his dangerous antics on public roads in the San Fransisco Bay Area.
Around six months ago he started posting videos to his YouTube and Instagram accounts that feature dashcam footage of multiple laws being broken on public streets, highways, and roads. In only his third video on the channel he adds a graphic to demonstrate the speed he’s traveling at – and which if accurate, he hits 122 mph (196 kph) while failing to catch up to a Mercedes SUV.
Since then, he’s uploaded dozens of similar videos including one where he says that he successfully ran from a law enforcement officer that passed him while he was going 113 mph (181 kph). In it, he accelerates to 130mph (209 km/h) before passing multiple cars on the shoulder and then ignores some stop signs just for good measure. Then there’s the one from his Instagram account (below) of high-speed antics in the wet.

He’s also made some interesting statements on his YouTube page including talking about how many police officers have been laid off and how much easier it is to speed these days. He regularly defends his driving style saying he’s “not a dumb driver” adding that he likes to “always try and have a way out. I rarely drive the car at the absolute limit so I know I can dodge people without losing control.”
Frankly, this seems like the behavior of somebody who has grown up without serious consequence, but that’s just a wild guess. Over at Reddit, users have less kind words for the social media speedster.

Either way, it’s almost as though he’s calling out local police by posting these videos regularly without trying to hide where he’s driving or how fast he’s going. Of course, there’s no way to prove exactly who’s driving the vehicle in these videos nor if the speed on the graphics matches reality – and it’s not our job to do so either, that’s for the authorities.
We’re big fans of automotive enthusiasm and exceptional driving skills here at Carscoops, and admittedly, most of us have, at some point in life, acted immature behind the wheel of a car. At the same time, the lack of humility on display in these videos is the type that can change lives for the worse in the blink of an eye. Here’s to hoping that this person will grow up and start using his skills on the track, not on public roads.
