TL;DR

  • Poco has announced that the Poco F4 GT is coming on April 26.
  • We’re guessing this is a rebranded version of the Redmi K50 Gaming.
  • The company also said it will unveil its first AIoT products at the event.

Poco launched the Poco F3 GT last year, being a rebranded version of the China-only Redmi K40 Gaming. The company revealed the Redmi K50 Gaming in its home market earlier this year, and it’s now confirmed the Poco F4 GT is coming.

Poco sent an emailed invite for a streamed Poco F4 GT launch event taking place on April 26 at 8 PM GMT+8 (8 AM ET). Check it out below.

In addition to the Poco F4 GT, the Xiaomi-affiliated brand also confirmed that it would offer its first AIoT products. There’s no official word on what these products are just yet.

Nevertheless, we’re expecting the Poco F4 GT to be a rebranded Redmi K50 Gaming smartphone. The K50 Gaming is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, dual vapor chamber cooling, a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED panel, and a 4,700mAh battery with 120W charging.

The Redmi K50 Gaming also comes with retractable shoulder triggers much like the Poco F3 GT and K40 Gaming. Otherwise, the phone has a triple rear camera system (64MP+8MP+2MP).

We really liked the Poco F3 GT, so hopefully the new gaming phone doesn’t deviate too far from last year’s formula and price tag.
