Maserati MC20 Looks Pretty Tasty With Some Aftermarket Wheels On

As a gorgeous mid-engined Italian supercar, the Maserati MC20 doesn’t need much more than a nice specification to stand out visually. But what happens if you combine its class with some aftermarket wheels? A set of photos with the MC20 wearing a set of Velos wheels suggest it looks pretty cool in this kind of non-OEM shoes.

The pictured MC20 is fitted with the Velos VXS 55 3-piece forged wheels finished in a bronze shade with a silver rim. We can’t read the dimensions of the Michelin Pilot Sport S tires but the wheels appear to be larger than the standard diameter of 20-inches coming from the Modena factory.

Despite being an aftermarket option, the double-spoke design looks rather fitting with Maserati’s heritage and the color choice makes a nice contrast with the blue shade of the car and the high-gloss black accents. This MC20 is also fitted with a carbon-fiber rear spoiler and a clear paint protection film.

There are no mechanical changes, with the stock mid-mounted twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine producing 621 hp (463 kW / 630 PS) and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque. Not that they were needed, since the MC20 is quite fast right from the factory, with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h).

As for tuning, while Ferrari and Lamborghini models have gotten loads of attention from tuners, there is currently only one aftermarket option for the Maserati MC20 when it comes to bodykits – the Aria kit from the US-based firm 7 Designs.
