We can understand why you wouldn’t want to switch from some brands, such as Apple and Samsung. In Apple’s case, you’re losing access to the App Store, iOS, and some other services. Meanwhile, Samsung phones offer lengthy update commitments, access to the Samsung ecosystem, and one of the best Android skins in the game.

There are plenty of reasons to switch to another smartphone brand though. For one, your current brand’s software simply might not be for you. Or maybe the current phone brand doesn’t offer exactly what you want from a hardware perspective (e.g. 3.5mm port, microSD expansion, great cameras).
