Stand Out Among Supercars With This Purple 1996 Porsche 993 Turbo

A 1996 Porsche 911 Turbo that was delivered new in Saudi Arabia is bound to turn a lot of heads when it heads to auction in early July.

Immediately making this 911 Turbo attract attention is the gorgeous purple paint scheme that doesn’t just make the curvaceous lines of the car stand out but appears to have been well-maintained over the years.

The Bonhams auction reveals that the car was originally delivered with body-colored wheels but these have since been replaced with more traditional silver rims. Red brake calipers are also visible, as are stainless steel exhaust tips and a sunroof, both factory options.

Found in the cabin of the 911 Turbo is cream-colored leather across the seats, steering wheel, dashboard, and door panels while matching carpets add to the exclusive feel of the interior. Given that this is a car from the mid-1990s, it comes as no surprise that it also rocks heaps of wooden veneer across the dash, door panels, steering wheel, gear knob, and handbrake. While both the exterior and interior of the car appear to be in good condition, the listing states that the car will require a re-commissioning, despite it only being driven 26,151 km (16,249 miles) since new.

The 993-generation 911 Turbo was first introduced in 1995 with a 3.6-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine pumping out 402 hp and coupled to a manual transmission driving all four wheels. It delivered staggering levels of performance back in the day as it could hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.7 seconds and sprint down the quarter-mile in as little as 12.1 seconds.
