BMW will hand over the keys to a brand new i7 xDrive60 as part of its hole in one award at this year’s BMW International Open.
The prestigious golfing event has been held annually for 33 years and during this time, the hole in one award has been won on eight occasions. Cars given to those who have successfully hit a hole in one have included a BMW 325i Cabriolet, a Z8, a 535i, an M8 Competition Coupe, a 640i Gran Coupe, an i8, a M760Li xDrive, and an i8 Roadster.
The car will be awarded to the first player who can score an ace on the 17th hole at Golfclub München Eichenried in Munich, Germany, a 176-meter par 3.

The i7 xDrive60 is the only variant of the electric 7-Series introduced to date. It features two electric motors, one at the front axle with 255 hp and one at the rear delivering 308 hp, resulting in a combined 536 hp and 549 lb-ft (744 Nm) of torque. The i7 uses electrically excited synchronous motors that ditch permanent magnets, meaning they make no use of rear earth materials.
Underpinning the i7 xDrive60 is a large 101.7 kWh battery pack that BMW says can power the car for 300 miles (483 km) on the EPA testing cycle. Despite being a premium EV, the i7 doesn’t support charging speeds of up to 350 kWh like the Porsche Taycan, Kia EV6, and Hyundai Ioniq 5 and is instead capped at 195 kW, meaning it takes 10 minutes to add 80 miles of charge. All i7 models sold in the United States offer three years of free charging through the Electrify America network.
