Chevrolet continues to tease the redesigned Montana for South America and now they’ve released some revealing pictures.
The most notable image shows the unibody pickup will feature a sizable grille that is flanked by split lighting units. We can also see streamlined styling, black fender flares, and blacked out A-pillars.
Continuing further back, the pickup has a practical crew cab configuration and a relatively short bed. They’re joined by a minimalist rear bumper and an aerodynamic surround for the rear window.

Chevrolet is staying tight-lipped about specifications, but the model promises to have the “comfort and handling of a passenger car” as well as the “robustness and versatility of a real pickup.” The automaker added the Montana is currently in the final stages of validation and will arrive at dealerships next year.
While the company isn’t ready to talk about engines, they noted the “Nova Montana will be the next member of Chevrolet’s global vehicle family, which is already made up of the current generations of Onix, Onix Plus, and Tracker.” The Tracker connection is notable as GM Authority has previously reported the pickup will share its powertrain and platform with the crossover.
A number of questions remain, but Chevrolet has high hopes for the truck and noted the model has been subjected to an intense development process. In particular, engineers subjected simulated prototypes to more than “15,000 multidisciplinary tests” and the equivalent of 15,000,000 km (9,320,568 miles) of driving, even before the first physical prototypes were built.
