Buick Envision Prices Swell By Up To $5,810 For 2023 But Not Without Good Reason

Buick has jacked up prices of the 2023 Envision but shoppers will be pleased to know the price changes aren’t completely arbitrary.

Continuing to sit at the base of the 2023 Envision range is the Preferred FWD, although it now starts at $34,795, which is a $1,900 increase over the 2022 model. Importantly, all Envision Preferred and Essence models now come standard with the three-year OnStar and Connected Services plan that GM has made standard across all Buick and GMC models and which is valued at $1,500, GM Authority notes.

Found at the top of the 2023 Envision range is the Avenir, available in front- and all-wheel drive specifications, starting at $47,055 and $48,855 respectively, meaning it is now $5,810 more expensive than previously. In addition to it now including the OnStar and Connected Services package, it also comes with the power panoramic moonroof and the Technology Package II as standard, optional extras that cost $1,450 and $1,965 respectively on the 2022 Envision Avenir.

A plethora of features are included in the Technology Package II. These include HD surround vision, a 10.2-inch infotainment system, HD radio, Bose nine-speaker audio system, head-up display, Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist, adaptive cruise control, rear camera mirror, and Continuous Damping Control.

Few changes have been made to the 2023 Envision, although new colors of Moonstone Gray Metallic and White Frost Tricoat replace the old Satin Steel Metallic and Burnished Bronze Metallic.

Continuing to power the Envision is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is good for 228 hp and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm), coupled to a nine-speed automatic transmission. While the engine is unchanged, the Envision now returns 23 mpg in the city as opposed to 24 mpg.
