Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek Enters The Rebelle Rally With Contrasting Livery

Nissan announced its entry for the 2022 Rebelle Rally with the off-road-focused Pathfinder Rock Creek featuring a custom livery. Nissan’s SUV will be piloted by Team Wild Grace in the X-Cross category, against many other entries backed up by rival automakers.

The 2023 Pathfinder Rock Creek that will participate in the rally is wrapped in blue and orange livery with mountain peak graphics. Nissan says that the bright blue helps the vehicle stand out against desert sand. The SUV will be driven by Sedona Blinson and Lyn Woodward from Team Wild Grace. Interestingly, the automaker didn’t mention any upgrades on the rally car compared to the standard Pathfinder Rock Creek beside the livery.

The company opted for the Rock Creek trim of the Pathfinder for the Rebelle Rally as it is already fitted with a number of off-road-friendly features making it suitable for the 1,500 miles of off-road navigation. Those features include the off-road-tuned suspension, a 5/8-inch (15.88 mm) lift kit, a set of A/T tires wrapped around 18-inch beadlock-style alloy wheels, and the standard roof rack that can hold up to 220 pounds (100 kg) of gear.

The SUV comes fitted with a slightly more powerful version of the 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 295 hp (220 kW / 299 PS) and 270 lb-ft (366 Nm) of torque right from the factory. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through a nine-speed automatic gearbox and Nissan’s Intelligent AWD system.

The 2022 Rebelle Rally will take place in the Nevada desert between October 6 and 15. The Japanese company claims to be the only manufacturer to participate in all seven editions of Rebelle Rally since its launch in 2016. Other automakers that have already announced their entries for this year’s rally include Kia with the Sportage X-Pro, Hyundai with the Santa Cruz, and Jeep with three Wrangler 4xes.
