Maserati has answered the question of what Barbie drives with a new, highly-limited edition of the Grecale. Created through the Fuoriserie program, just two Barbie-edition crossovers will ever be produced, and this is the first.
As you may have predicted, the exterior is painted a rather fetching shade of pink, but the special hue goes deeper. Sealed with an iridescent topcoat, when the car is parked on sunny days (does Barbie have any other kind?) a rainbow effect can be seen shimmering in the paint.
The model is also adorned with acid-yellow highlights around the grille, on the hood, and on the trident logos at the center of the wheels. In addition, Barbie’s signature can be seen above the three vents below the side mirrors. A special Barbie “B” can also be found on the C-pillar.

Inside, meanwhile, the interior of the Maserati is upholstered in chic black leather seats that have pink contrast stitching. Pink trim pieces that match the exterior can also be found throughout the interior, and Barbie’s B badge is featured on the headrests.
Not only is this Grecale aesthetically impressive, it will be an impressive performer, too. That’s because this is a Trofeo model, which means it is powered by Maserati’s 3.0-liter V6 Nettuno engine that makes 523 hp (390 kW/530 PS) and 457 lb-ft (620 Nm) of torque.
The first edition of the Barbie Grecale was unveiled last night at a Neiman Marcus holiday launch soirée in Los Angeles, California. One of the brand’s Fantasy Gifts catalog, 10 percent of the sale price paid by its new owner will go towards the Barbie Dream Gap Project. The project is part of the Barbie brand’s initiative that partners with charities to help provide equal opportunities and remove barriers for girls around the world.
This is just the first of two Barbie x Maserati Grecale Trofeos and Neiman Marcus estimates that it’s worth $330,000. Details on the second model will be shared in 2023, the automaker says.
