Media is emerging from the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, of a 1987 Lamborghini Countach LP5000 Quattrovalvole. Seems fair enough, it’s a lovely car, if a little out of place. But the thing that’s really drawing a lot of attention is where it’s parked.
Seen aboard the rear deck of a yacht called Mizu, the classic car is parked underneath a basketball net as you board the boat. An American model, as you may be able to tell from its bumpers, it is only slightly less impressive than the watercraft on which it sits.
According to Y.co, Mizu is a 53-meter-long (174 ft.) yacht that requires a crew of nine to sail. Delivered by Oceanfast in 2004 and renamed by its current owner in 2011, the name is the Japanese for water, which is a bit on the nose, frankly.

The name may explain why the yacht has “Asian inspired interiors” that were designed by Sam Sorgiovanni. It got a full refit in 2016, which means that everything onboard is up-to-date and there’s a private deck for the owners, as well as other expansive decks for entertaining guests that include a 14-person Jacuzzi, bars, various sun lounges, and, of course, a basketball net.
Apparently “built for adventure,” it has a top speed of 28 knots (32 mph/52 km/h) and a range of 4,500 nautical miles (5,178 miles/8,334 km). That’s impressive, but I imagine it won’t impress the readers of this article as much as the Lamborghini.
The Countach LP5000 QV was introduced in 1985 with an evolved 5.2-liter version of Lamborghini’s V12 engine that featured, as the name suggests, four valves per cylinder. Fuel-injected versions of the car were rated at 414 hp (309 kW/420 PS) and just 66 were built (a further 544 were made for Europe with carburetors that made 449 hp/335kW/455 PS).
Whether a yacht, which is presumably docked in a salt water marina, is the best place for a classic vehicle is a matter of some debate in the comments of the TikTok below. One way or another, it’s a deeply Florida move.
