Mopar has worked its magic on two Ram 1500s that are designed to store more than ever before. Both being shown off at SEMA this week, the first is based on the Ram 1500 TRX and has been made perfect for dirt bikers, while the second is perfect for tradespeople.
The Ram 1500 TRX Gold Shot
The Ram 1500 TRX Gold Shot Concept is painted Satin Bitter Yellow and Satin Black with massive TRX side graphics that hint at the 702 hp (523 kW/712 PS) V8 that lies under the truck’s massive hood.
It sits on custom-designed Vintage Bronze 18×9.5-inch Black Rhino Chamber wheels that are wrapped in 37-inch BFGoodrich tires. But that’s not really the point of the truck. It is, instead, meant to be the ultimate dirt bike hauling machine.

A Mopar bed step provides easy access to the bed, where two motorcycles can be placed. The step also folds back up and out of the way with an easy push, to make the whole thing look sleeker. The truck bed, meanwhile, is protected by a Mopar spray-in textured bed liner.
In addition, there’s a RamBar behind the cab, as well as a pair of 14-inch TYRI rectangular LED lights. The concept lights generate 4,300 lumens of light to illuminate the way in front of you and help out if your motorcycle riding lasts into the night.
Custom metal skid plates that feature laser-etched Mopar branding are placed under the front and rear of the truck and help increase the approach angle by 2.3 degrees. Mopar rock rails, meanwhile, help protect the truck while it’s off-roading.
Inside, the Ram 1500 TRX Gold Shot Concept features aggressive sport seats that are wrapped in Capri leather and have perforated Alcantara suede inner bolsters as well as Alaska Gold stitching. Both front seats also feature embroidered TRX logos on the upper panels and Mopar logos on the outboard shoulder bolster. A vinyl floor from the Ram 1500 Tradesman model, meanwhile, means that the truck is easy to hose out when the going gets muddy.
The Ram 1500 Backcountry X

While the first concept featured over the top performance and graphics, the second features storage that goes over the top of the RamBox cargo management system. The Ram 1500 Backcountry X concept is designed to maximize secure storage in the truck.
As a result, it gets custom-designed RamPack and RamRack that are designed to fit snugly over the sides of the pickup truck’s bed. With carbon-fiber, hatch-style panel doors, secure storage is expanded by more than 68 percent (12.3 cubic feet/348 liters) with the RamPack system.

The RamRack seen here is the next iteration of the telescoping storage rack system first introduced by the Ram 1500 Outdoorsman concept last year and uses Thule cross rails above the bed to mount gear and accessories. TYRI LED lights at each corner of it help keep all your gear illuminated. On the tailgate, meanwhile, a RamGate task bench insert features conversion charts, an angle finder, and woodworking hardware.
As well as being practical, the Ram 1500 Backcountry X also gets a two-inch lift kit, FOX shocks, matte-black 20×9-inch Fuel Heater wheels, and 37-inch BFGoodrich tires. The body is painted Matte Iced Silver Titanium and matte black with anodized orange stripes and accents.
Inside, the neutral green front bucket seats get orange contrast stitching and custom embroidered Backcountry X and Mopar logos. That orange is continued on the air vent controls.
The interior is protected with custom A- and C-pillar handles that are wrapped in black Gore-Tex vinyl, while the Mopar all-weather mats and a RamVac on-board vacuum all help keep the interior clean.
Both concepts will be on display at the 2022 SEMA Show held at the Las Vegas Convention Center between November 1 and 4.
