Electric Truck Stops In 2035 Will Need As Much Juice As A Small Town, Report Claims
Electric trucks are about to become a common sight on our roads, with Tesla hoping to have at least 50,000 of their Semi EVs in use by 2024. But such rapid electrification may have implications for truck stops. According to a new report from the National Grid, a truck stop in 2035 may need as much electricity as a small town. However, it’s not necessarily the amount of power required but more the question of how it can be effectively deployed in one place.
2023 Toyota Prius Makes The Iconic Plug-In Hybrid Better In All Areas

Toyota has unveiled its latest iteration of the Prius, which many consider the original game-changer in terms of hybrid adoption and technology. The new Prius, which was revealed in Japan ahead of a North American launch, is large, more efficient, and perhaps more importantly much better looking. Customers in Japan will get the option of either a 2.0-liter plug-in hybrid or a self-charging hybrid version offered in 1.8-liter and 2.0-liter versions, plus the option of all-wheel drive too. The new Prius is also equipped with a solar charging system that generates enough power for up to 1,250 km (776 miles) of driving per year.

While we’re promised much more information in the near future, this is our first good look at the all-new 2024 Lucid Gravity crossover. The electric family-friendly hauler features seven seats and over 1,200 hp (895 kW/1,217 PS) in its highest-performance Sapphire edition. Meanwhile, Lucid also offers their new entry-level Air Pure sedan, but you may want to double-check the price.
Mazda Teases 2024 CX-90 Flagship SUV For USA, Confirms Inline-Six
While it’s not quite the RX-7 successor that we often dream about, there was good news from the Mazda camp yesterday: the upcoming CX-90 has been confirmed to have an inline six-cylinder engine, as conveyed by a new teaser image posted to Instagram. The full reveal will be sometime in 2023, with the car likely appearing as a 2024MY.
Tesla Will Deliver Its First Electric Semis To Customers At Live December 1st Event
The first examples of the much-anticipated Tesla Semi will be handed over to customers on December 1, during a live event for the occasion. We know this thanks to Martin Viecha, head of investor relations at Tesla, confirming as much on Twitter. We also expect a breakdown of the truck’s specifications to be presented at the event.
Liux Is An EV Startup Developing This Sexy Crossover Known As ‘Animal’

You’ve likely never heard of Liux, but they’re an EV startup based out of Spain, developing their first crossover dubbed “Animal.” Ninety percent of the Animal’s materials will be recycled, including the outer skin, interior, and parts of the chassis. Liux is aiming for the Animal to feature a single rear-mounted electric motor churning out up to 237 hp, allowing the sleek crossover to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 5 seconds and continue through to a claimed top speed of 124 mph (200 km/h).
Second-Gen 2024 Cadillac CT6 Caught Undisguised In China
New photos of the updated, second-generation Cadillac CT6 have leaked in China. The new shots show the undisguised exterior and interior of the vehicle, the latter of which sports tech borrowed from newer vehicles like the all-electric Lyriq. The images, found on numerous sites, including Sohu, show a model still under construction, whose interior is missing a steering wheel, in one shot. That only serves to better show off the wide, Cadillac Escalade-like multimedia dual-screen setup.
