NanoFlowcell hasn’t made a lot of noise since it showcased its production-ready QUANTiNO in early 2016, but it seems now that the company will be expanding to the U.S., with plans to build the QUANT series of EVs locally. NanoFlowcell EVs don’t have battery packs and instead use bi-ION tech that uses a positively-charged electrolyte and a negatively-charged anolyte, which meet in an ion-selective membrane, generating electricity. Celebrating the expansion and the company’s 25th anniversary, the firm showcased a special version of the QUANTiNO, dubbed the twentyfive.

Here’s something for the holiday season: the upcoming 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray showcased drifting through the snow. The video didn’t appear on GM’s usual social media channels and, instead, was shared by a Corvette Forum member named “Corvette_Nut” who uploaded a short clip of the car on YouTube.

One Tesla owner felt the cold bite of Jack Frost when he discovered his Tesla Model S failed to charge in sub-freezing temperatures. TikTok user Domnatishow posted a short video of the incident and has more than 10,000 comments on it as of this writing. Despite following the preconditioning instructions shown, the user could not add any usable range to his car, allegedly leaving him stranded on Christmas Eve.

After just 52 miles (84 km), the 5.5-liter flat-plane crank V8 in Garcia’s Corvette gave up the ghost.

China To Drop Quarantine Requirements For Inbound Travelers

China’s National Health Commission (NHC) announced it would drop quarantine requirements for international arrivals from January 8. Instead, inbound travelers will only need to show a negative Covid test result obtained within 48 hours before departure. At present, those entering the country must face five days of hotel quarantine and a further three days of self-isolation at home.
