Gooding & Company will auction off four rare RUF models at its Amelia Island Auction event in March.

The oldest of the four models set to be sold is a 1997 RUF BTR2. It is the successor to the famed BTR from 1983 and benefits from a number of modifications over the standard Porsche 911 it is based around. For example, it is equipped with a distinctive front bumper and splitter, a large whale tail rear spoiler, rear driving lights, and a set of seductive five-spoke wheels with a gloss-black finish.

RUF also went to town on the car’s engine, meaning it now delivers 420 hp. Just 10 examples of the BTR2 are thought to have been produced and this one is finished in Speed Yellow.

The sale will also include a 1998 RUF Turbo R and a 1998 RUF Turbo R Cabriolet.  Just 15 units of the Turbo R were produced, each with various visual upgrades. The Turbo R Coupe in question is particularly special as it was sent back to the RUF factory in recent years and upgraded with many of the some components as the Turbo R Limited Series introduced in 2016. It is being sold with 13,800 miles (22,208 km) on the odometer.

Meanwhile, the RUF Turbo R Cabriolet is the only example built and like the Coupe, is also finished in Blutorange. It has been driven 10,223 miles (16,452 km) since new and its twin-turbocharged six-cylinder is rated at 490 hp.

The fourth and final RUF model being auctioned off by Gooding & Company is a 2007 RUF RK Coupe. It is based on the Porsche Cayman but has an upgraded engine and turbocharger that churns out 440 hp. The German brand had intended on producing 49 units but only ever ended up building two of them. One was a prototype that sits in an Italian museum while this is the sole production example.
