- Samsung Galaxy A54 specs have purportedly leaked online.
- The specs point to a new processor but familiar features elsewhere.
The Samsung Galaxy A5x series is one of the most popular mid-range phone families around, offering big batteries, water resistance, and high quality screens. We’ve already seen leaked Galaxy A54 renders emerge in November 2022, but it looks like we’ve now got specs to go with the images as well.
Frequent tipster Yogesh Brar has posted a list of Samsung Galaxy A54 specs on Twitter, and there could be one major upgrade on offer. More specifically, he asserts that the Samsung phone will be powered by an unreleased Exynos 1380 SoC.
There’s no official word on this chipset just yet, but a Geekbench listing points to four heavyweight cores and four little cores. This would be a major upgrade over the Exynos 1280’s CPU layout (two heavy cores and six little cores). We’re nevertheless taking this claim with a healthy dose of salt as benchmark listings can be easily faked.
Otherwise, the phone is also said to arrive with a 6.4-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED screen, 6GB to 8GB of RAM, 128GB to 256GB of storage, a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired charging, an IP67 rating, and One UI 5 atop Android 13.
Brar also claims that the phone will be equipped with a 50MP main camera (with OIS), a 12MP shooter (presumably ultrawide), and an unspecified 5MP sensor. By comparison, the Galaxy A53 offered a quad camera system featuring two 5MP sensors. So one of these sensors is missing on the Galaxy A54. We’re hoping that the 5MP macro lens has been dropped in favor of macro mode via the ultrawide shooter.
This isn’t the only Galaxy A54 leak to drop in recent days, as Android Headlines reported colorways for the upcoming handset as well. More specifically, it’s believed that the device will be available in Black, Purple, White, and green/yellow colorways.
