Yet another prized exotic destroyed by Hurricane Ian in Florida has been listed up for sale through IAAI.

Thousands of cars were left ruined or with severe damage because of Hurricane Ian and given how much wealth there is in some parts of Florida, it came as no surprise that many of them were very expensive cars. The model we’re talking about here is a black Ferrari 488 Spider and while it looks to be in good condition, it has a Certificate of Destruction.

Images show that the mid-engined supercar doesn’t appear to have suffered any obvious visual damage in the hurricane or the subsequent floods. However, the Certificate of Destruction suggests that it sustained water damage, rendering it inoperable.

This Poor Ferrari 488 Spider Is Another Victim Of Florida’s Hurricane Ian

IAAI notes that because of the Certificate of Destruction, it can only really be used for parts, exported overseas, or perhaps used as a track-only race car.

If the Ferrari twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 is still functioning, it will obviously be the most valuable part of the car and could be sold and used as a spare or removed and fitted into some kind of crazy Ferrari-powered project car.

The lack of bodywork damage also means that plenty of the exterior parts can be saved and sold. The aftermarket wheels may also be worth a pretty penny. Found in the cabin are beautiful tan-colored leather seats that also look brand new and subject to them having not suffered any water damage, could also be sold for quite a lot.
