Japanese tuner VeilSide has unwrapped its latest build, a heavily modified version of the new Nissan Z that appears to be well on its way to becoming a movie star. That’s because not only has VeilSide teased the car, so has Sung Kang, the actor who plays Han in the “Fast & Furious” film franchise.
Set to make its official debut at the 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon, which will take place from January 14 to 16, the car is casually being called “Han’s 400Z” by Kang, and the FFZ400 by VeilSide and the auto show.
These photos reveal that the base Nissan Z’s bodywork has been modified extensively, and we’ve previously seen shots of the front, where the bumper has been extended forward and sharpened.

Now, we can see that side skirts and big fender extensions with visible rivets have been added. At the back, the body kit wraps around the rear end, and forms a sharp spoiler with vertical winglets that lend the car a bit of a Batmobile vibe.
Unlike that famous movie car, this one isn’t all black but black and orange, instead. Both the vertical winglets and the center portion of the hood are painted black and features the VeilSide name in an ombre fade.

According to Veilside’s technical sheet for the Tokyo Auto Salon, the car will still be powered by a 3.0-liter VR30DDTT engine, which makes 400 hp (298 kW/405 PS) in the standard car. The extent of VeilSide’s modifications has not been laid out, but we do know that it will have a custom exhaust, an ECU tune, so more power is likely.
Will It Star In Fast X Or Another F&F Film?
Elsewhere, the coupe features a custom air suspension, a DIECOCK speaker system, and 20-inch VeilSide Andrew Forged wheels that are wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza tires. According to the product page, the car will be driven by Sung Kang in a movie that will be released in 2024.
Intriguingly, Collider reports that Fast X will premiere in May 2023. That raises the possibility that Han and this car could star in the 11th and final Fast & Furious movie, or in one of the franchise’s upcoming spin-off movies. Since the Tokyo Auto Salon and VeilSide aren’t in the business of reporting on Hollywood, though, it may be prudent to take that detail with a grain of salt.
