An opportunity for soccer fans and Ferrari fans to satisfy both of their interests has emerged, as David Beckham’s 2001 Ferrari 360 Spider is being offered for sale in Bibury, U.K.

The famous British soccer player bought the car at the height of his powers, as he was helping Manchester United to win the Premier League title in 2002-2003, and shortly before he moved to Real Madrid, where he would play alongside other legends, like Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo, and Roberto Carlos.

Frequently photographed with the Ferrari, which was painted Nero and featured a Sabbia interior, the car now has just 7,900 miles (12,713 km), meaning that, even beyond its association with the soccer legend, it is a remarkable example of the breed.

The car also features the six-speed “F1” Graziano automated manual transmission with paddle-shifters, forged BBS Challenge alloys, carbon fiber seats, a Challenge rear grille, and a Tubi sports exhaust system.

“The condition, the mileage, and an A-list history makes this one of the more special 360s out there,” said Matt Bird, the editor of PistonHeads, which is listing the car. “Even those not so interested in the football link, and simply after one of the best Modenas out there, would struggle to do much better. And for those that are, what a story you’ll have to tell when someone asks about your Ferrari.”

The Ferrari 360 Spider is powered by a 3.6-liter V8 engine that makes 395 hp (294 kW/400 PS) and 275 lb-ft (373 Nm) of torque, which was enough to get the convertible up to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.9 seconds. Although that’s a little less impressive these days, the 8,700 rpm redline should still help you impress your friends if you end up buying this example.

PistonHeads reports that Ferrari 360 Spiders tend go for around £60,000 ($73,394 USD at current exchange rates) in the U.K. these days, but, thanks to this car’s provenance, and its excellent condition, a high premium is being asked for. If you want to drive David Beckham’s former car, you’ll have to pony up £110,000 ($134,556 USD).
