Nissan has opened order books for the 2024 GT-R in its home market of Japan. While the updates made to the latest GT-R are relatively minor, it still has all the makings of a very impressive sports car and is bound to prove popular despite how old the R35 is.

The car manufacturer took off the covers to the 2024 GT-R at the start of this year and will sell it in Pure Edition, Black Edition, Premium Edition, Premium Edition T-Spec, Track Edition engineered by Nismo, and Track edition engineered by Nismo T-Spec guises in Japan. Topping out the range are the fully-fledged GT-R Nismo and GT-R Nismo Special Edition models.

Japanese pricing kicks off from ¥13.75 million ($104,788) for the Pure Edition and increases to ¥15.35 million ($116,982) for the Black Edition, ¥14.84 million ($113,095) for the Premium Edition, and ¥18.967 million ($144,494) for the Premium Edition T-Spec. Those wanting a little bit of Nismo in their life will need to cough up ¥17.656 million ($134,510) for the Track Edition engineered by Nismo, ¥21.387 million ($162,936) for the Track Edition engineered by Nismo T-Spec, ¥28.65 million ($218,341) for the GT-R Nismo, and ¥29.15 million ($222,152) for the Nismo Special Edition.

The 2024 Nissan GT-R Is Now Available To Purchase In Japan From Nearly $105k

Nissan notes that it will produce a limited number of units of the 2024 GT-R for the Japanese market but has not specified exactly how many it will build.

Driving the 2024 GT-R is a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 pumping out 565 hp and 467 lb-ft (623 Nm) of torque. This engine works alongside a six-speed dual-clutch transmission sending power through all four wheels. Upgrades made to the Nismo and Nismo Special Edition lift grunt up to 600 hp and 481 lb-ft (651 Nm) of torque.
