Order holders across the nation say that Ford is pushing back production of their Broncos while hundreds sit idle

Across the nation, Bronco order-holders say their production dates are getting pushed back. It’s a trend that’s surprising buyers after it seemed as though Ford had caught up with its order book. It’s not the first time we’ve seen this and just as in the past, hundreds of Broncos are sitting idle in a pre-delivery lot for some unknown reason.
Reports of these production delays are all over the place from Reddit to online forums to direct messages to some of us here. We’ll kick things off with one poster asking if anyone else in the Ford Bronco community had experienced multiple delays. They report two different setbacks and it turns out that they’re not alone.
A commenter responded, “ordered in March, first production date was May 20 something & now June 12th.” Another said, “About every two weeks I get an email pushing my build week back by about two weeks.” This singular post doesn’t seem to be the only place confused buyers are congregating though.

Over on Bronco6G, a user says that they’ve had production pushed back six different times. Another said they’ve had their production date moved up once and pushed back three other times. At least one person can count up to eight different production delays on their Bronco order. One person says that their build date is completely gone altogether.
Interestingly, some order-holders are reporting slight reductions in production timelines. We’ve heard of similar production delays in the past. In those instances, a constrained supply of parts has often been at the crux of the issue. At the same time, hundreds of Broncos are sitting in a pre-delivery lot in Ypsilanti, MI.

It’s worth noting that Ford has directly commented in the past when similar situations have happened. To that end, we’ve reached out to the automaker in hopes that it can provide some clarity on exactly what’s going on with production delays and the idle Broncos. We’ll update this post if we hear back.
