Rimac recently set an astonishing 23 new speed records in the all-electric Nevera and shortly after its announcement, the Top Gear channel on YouTube has shared Chris Harris’s full review of the hypercar from the TV show’s 33rd season.

Harris jumped behind the wheel of the Rimac Nevera last year in an episode that aired on October 30 but given the show’s reduced viewership since the era of Clarkson, Hammond, and May, there’s probably a good chance you never saw this segment. The review uses the familiar Top Gear TV presenting style and is just as over-the-top as you would expect but it is still well worth a watch.

The review starts off by showing Harris cruising through some lovely mountainous roads with the Nevera to see how comfortable it is and how well it can handle everyday driving duties. However, the action really starts at around the 4:00 mark when Harris headed to the track to see what the car is really capable of.

Chris Harris Was Blown Away By The Rimac Nevera Even Before It Set 23 World Records

In a bid to show just how quick the Nevera is, it participates in a drag race against a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ which by conventional combustion-powered standards, is a rocketship. Down the quarter-mile however, the Lamborghini is simply blown away by the Nevera and barely puts up a fight.

Harris was even brave enough to test out the EV’s drifting capabilities. With four electric motors that combine to produce 1,888 hp and 1,741 lb-ft (2,360 Nm) of torque, the Nevera can have plums of smoke billowing out from all four tires with the slightest touch of the throttle.

To remind you of just how fast Rimac’s hypercar is, it can hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 1.81 seconds, 200 km/h (124 mph) in 4.42 seconds, 300 km/h (186 mph) in 9.22 seconds, and 400 km/h (248 mph) in an extraordinary 21.31 seconds.
