Sony’s GT 7 improves again with another free update including three new cars and you guessed it… another Nissan Skyline GT-R

Gran Turismo 7 has been out for a long while now but it’s still getting better. The free May update to version 1.34 is here and it’s full of new content. Three new cars join two new scapes along with new engine swap options and additional cafe menus.
Kicking off the update list is the 1990 Nissan Skyline GT-R NISMO. While that might sound like just one more Skyline in a game that already has a lot, consider this… Nissan only made 500 of these for the whole world. In fact, it made this car specifically as a homologation special so that it could go racing in Group A.
Next up is the 1967 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint Veloce. It comes with a 1.6-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine producing just 104.6 hp (78 kW). Thankfully, it only weighs some 2,094 pounds (950 kg) so it has a top speed of over 110 mph (177 km/h).

Finally, the Best in Show winner at SEMA 2018, the Greening Auto Company Maverick, is now finally in a Gran Turismo game. It combines the sleek classic look of the 1971 Ford Maverick with a 1,183 hp (882 kW) twin-turbocharged 7-liter Windsor V8 engine. The update doesn’t just stop with three new cars though.
Players can now swap engines from the ‘Car Maintenance & Service’ menu at GT Auto (Collector Level 50). Level 50 players can also equip “Ultimate” parts in the tuning shop. Polyphony Digital didn’t go into depth about what would be available but it did say that the section adds more tuning options as well as rare parts. Screenshots from the game show titanium connecting rods and pistons, stage-five weight reduction, and more options in the menu.

Two new Cafe menus, SEMA Gran Turismo Award and Group A are now available as well. Finally, two new Scapes photo locations, National Stadium, and The Lake District, are included in the update as well. The 1.34 update for Gran Turismo 7 arrives today May 24 at 10 pm PST or 1 am EST.
