One YouTuber helped open up the program for many who would’ve otherwise missed out

Chevrolet has a major success on its hands with the Corvette Stingray and its wicked sibling the Z06. As such, it’s had to implement measures to keep buyers from flipping the car. One of those mechanisms, a rewards program for those who didn’t flip their car, is now available to a much larger population than it previously was.
Initially, GM created the rewards program and offered $5,000 worth of Chevrolet Rewards points to anyone who leased or bought a Z06 so long as they registered for the program within 30 days of purchase and then kept the car for at least 12 months. GM would ultimately reduce that 12-month timeline to just six months but it kept in place the prerequisite that customers had to register within 30 days.
That flew in the face of YouTuber Austin Everett who posts on the channel Speed Phenom. He pointed out that not every Z06 owner was aware that they needed to register in that timeframe. In fact, he himself didn’t register within 30 days and was subsequently denied access to those bonus points.

Not long after posting about the problem Chevrolet sent an email to him and other Z06 owners with good news. Now, Corvette Z06 owners have until the start of December, the first specifically, to register for the program. Anyone who keeps their car for six months will be eligible for the points which can then go toward any genuine parts or accessories, maintenance, or even toward paying down a loan through GM Financial.
Those who didn’t register but have already had their Z06 for six months can register today and get access to those points almost immediately. Everett says he plans to use the points for brakes as he goes through them quickly thanks to lots of track time with his car. It’s not a bad deal for simply keeping an epic sports car.
