Hyundai is preparing to open the doors to a special heritage exhibition at the Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul complex as a way to celebrate its new heritage project.

The exhibition, dubbed ‘PONY, the timeless,’ will open to the public on June 9 and follows on from the Hyundai Reunion held in Lake Como, Italy where the long-awaited restored Pony Coupe Concept was unveiled.

Those who visit the new exhibition will be shown the Pony’s journey through time, starting on the fifth floor with videos, music, and paintings from the 1970s and 80s. The fourth floor of Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul then details archived records of the Pony while displayed on the third floor is the restored Pony Coupe concept as well as a host of retrospective drawings by designer Giorgetto Giugiaro. On display along the Pony is the wildly-popular N Vision 74 Concept.

Hyundai’s special exhibition is capped off with a photo gallery showing some of the moments that people have shared with the car over the year.

In addition to opening the exhibition, the car manufacturer has launched its new book, RETRACE Collection. This book archives the history of the company and includes records from the Pony’s development that are being shown to the public for the very first time.

“Hyundai Motor has a history of taking on bold challenges and being in constant pursuit of innovation, and this heritage serves as a milestone as we embark on our future journey to achieve Progress for Humanity,” Hyundai president Jaehoon Chang said. “I hope the ‘PONY, the timeless’ exhibition and the RETRACE Series will be an opportunity for people to reminisce about the past and take inspiration for the future.”

Hyundai opened the exhibition on June 7 with various VIP guests. It will be open to members of the public until August 6.
