This 2003 Saleen S7 is one of the ultimate 2000s American supercars. It features stunning bodywork, a big 7.0-liter V8, a manual transmission, and only 1,800 miles on the odometer. It evidently has a connection to the late Paul Walker as well.

According to the seller, the car “spent time in Paul Walker and Roger Rodas’ AE Performance Collection in Valencia, California.” It was from that collection that the seller claims to have purchased the car. While Walker himself may not have owned the car, any connection to him is noteworthy and no matter how you shake it, this is one rare supercar all by itself.

The company crafted three different versions: this, a twin-turbo variant, and a racing car. However, it’s believed by many that less than 100 S7s exist in total. One with this sort of low mileage then should be worth a bit more. It’s also noteworthy for its silver paint, the color that is most associated with the S7.

That Ford V8 under the rear decklid is said to produce 550 hp (410 kW) and 525 lb-ft (711 Nm) of torque. While it largely started life as a Windsor V8, Saleen added an aluminum bloc, CNC-machined cylinder heads, billet steel connecting rods, forged pistons, and more. It sends that power through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip rear differential to Pirelli P Zero tires that need replacement as they’re too old at this stage.

The cabin is quite spartan. It features a plaque noting that its chassis number is 03-024. A flat-bottomed leather-wrapped steering wheel presents itself to the asymmetrically-situated driver’s seat. That seat, by the way, isn’t adjustable. It’s fixed in place based on the owner’s preference and then can only be readjusted by unbolting it and reinstalling it into a new position.

As of this writing, the high bid is already past half a million dollars and this car has more than a week to go. In February of this year, another S7 in red with some 6,800 miles went for $551,000. We expect this one to go for even more.
