The crew over at armored vehicle specialist Inkas has just launched the world’s first armoring package for the latest-generation Land Rover Range Rover.

Like other products sold by Inkas, the upgrades it makes to the Range Rover are so subtle that you wouldn’t even know they were there unless someone told you. The protection measures taken mean the luxurious SUV is certified to the CEN 1063 BR6 level so it can protect occupants from 7.62 mm high-power rifle ammunition. It can also withstand two DB51 hand grenades being detonated simultaneously underneath it.

It’s not only the body panels that have been reinforced. Inkas has fitted military-grade ballistic glass, an armored door overlap system to ensure ammunition cannot sneak its way through door seams, and a rear armored bulkhead partition. The Range Rover has also been equipped with new runflat tires with solid polycarbonate inserts.

Inkas Is The First To Offer An Armoring Package For The 2023 Range Rover

A plethora of optional upgrades are also available. For example, the engine bay can be armored, the exhaust pipe protected, an engine bay fire suppression system installed, or a roof escape hatch fitted. Inkas also offers an advanced CCTV and GPS system, night vision camera, a siren/PA system, and LED strobe lights. Other options include a door assist mechanism, oxygen filtration system, reinforced front and rear bumpers, and a blackout package.

The first 2023 Range Rover modified by Inkas is an Autobiography model in P530 guise. As such, it is rocking a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 sourced from BMW that’s good for 523 hp at 5,500 rpm. This engine is coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels. Of course, Inkas won’t just offer its armored package on Autobiography models but all Range Rover variants. It can also build the SUV in four-, five-, or seven-seat configurations.
