Automakers have largely bailed on the SEMA Show and this has caused the event to lose some of its luster. To combat this trend, organizers are mixing things up as part of a “five-year vision to expand the SEMA Show into an ‘all-city’ experience.”

Known as SEMA Week, the revamped event will consist of the traditional industry-only show that runs from October 31 to November 2. On November 3, the show will open to a “limited number of enthusiasts” who purchase a SEMA Friday Experience badge for $299.

While that sounds like a massive rip off, the badge also includes access to the all-new SEMA Fest at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. That event was partially detailed today and it takes place on November 3 and 4.

SEMA Fest is billed as a “two-day full-throttle festival” that “brings together automotive enthusiasts, the biggest names in music, and the hottest automotive brands in a large-scale festival format.” Music takes center stage as organizers announced a millennial-focused lineup that includes Imagine Dragons, Incubus, Third Eye Blind, Bush, Buckcherry, Ludacris, and others.

Besides hit singers of decades past, SEMA Fest promises to have a “full slate of immersive automotive lifestyle events.” Details are lacking, but organizers are promising ride-and-drive activations, a freestyle motorcross show, off-road demonstrations, and a world-class drifting display.

SEMA Fest sounds like an interesting idea, but it’s not cheap as tickets start at $179. For $229, fans can get extras such as access to mobile phone charging stations, upgraded restrooms, and “paid lockers to secure your personal belongings.”

If you feel like splurging, you can shell out $349 to get SEMA Fest VIP tickets that provide the same upgrades as Plus tickets as well as access to a special viewing area with “premium sightlines.” VIP ticketholders will also find a separate entrance, VIP washrooms, and VIP food and beverage.

Tickets are on sale now and you can find out more at SEMAFest.com
