The 2024 Peugeot 3008 will debut in September and spy photographers have snapped a handful of prototypes undergoing last minute testing in Spain.

Spotted without the #CamoCatch disguise, the models don’t reveal anything we haven’t seen before. While that’s disappointing, the E-3008 will have a fully enclosed grille that is flanked by slender headlights with fang-like accents. Further below, there’s a sizable intake with what appears to be a sensor pod in the middle.

Since the crossover has been transformed into a “fastback SUV,” there’s a rakish windscreen that flows into a sloping roof. The model will also sport plastic body cladding, slab-sided bodywork, and a pronounced shoulder line. Other highlights include a sizable spoiler and slim taillights with angular elements.

While the spy photos aren’t very revealing, the company has already announced the crossover will be equipped with a 21-inch curved display that features “mood lighting” beneath the screen. They’ll be joined by fully customizable i-Toggles, which are touch-sensitive buttons that can be programmed to provide access to ten favorite functions ranging from contacts to temperature settings.

Buyers will also find a futuristic dash and center console as well as a shifter that has been moved to the steering column. They’ll be joined by aluminum trim and a flat-bottom steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls.

Peugeot has been relatively tight-lipped about specifications, but they revealed a few details during their E-Lion event in January. In particular, the automaker confirmed the E-3008 will be the first car launched on the STLA Medium platform and it will be offered with three electric powertrains that provide up to 700 km (435 miles) of range.

The brand didn’t go into specifics at the time, but Stellantis recently revealed the STLA Medium platform will be offered with front or dual-motor all-wheel drive. These will have outputs ranging from 215 hp (160 kW / 218 PS) to 382 hp (285 kW / 387 PS).

Stellantis also revealed plans for “Standard” and “Performance” battery packs. The former will provide more than 310 miles (500 km) of range in the WLTP cycle, while the Performance variant will increase that distance to more than 435 miles (700 km) – thus confirming it for the E-3008.

Despite the focus on the electric variant, there will be a hybridized 3008 with a 99 hp (74 kW / 100 PS) or 134 hp (100 kW / 136 PS) PureTech petrol engine. It will be connected to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission, which is paired to a 28 hp (21 kW / 29 PS) electric motor. This setup promises “increased low-end torque and a 15% reduction in fuel consumption.”
