The all-electric Audi Q6 e-tron is inching closer to production and has been previewed to the world shortly after select media representatives had the opportunity to test it out in prototype guise.

We’ve known about the Q6 e-tron for more than two years but this is our first chance to see it without thick camouflage covering the exterior. From a visual standpoint, it has a slightly softer design than we were anticipating and sports a front fascia dominated by thin LED headlights and a large faux grille finished in white on these prototypes.

Elsewhere, we can see that Audi’s designers have crafted quite an aggressive front bumper for the electric SUV. The rear of the Q6 e-tron is also quite noteworthy thanks to the LED taillights, full-width LED light bar, and the body-colored diffuser. These prototypes also sit on a set of striking all-white wheels but we’d be very surprised if these make it to production. We understand that the Q6 e-tron will be offered in standard SUV and Coupe SUV guises with these prototypes being the former.

2025 Audi Q6 E-Tron Previewed With 100 kWh Battery And Up To 510 HP

The Audi Q6 e-tron is underpinned by the new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture co-developed by Audi and Porsche. This architecture has an 800-volt system and allows for charging speeds of up to 270 kW, meaning the battery can be charged from 10 to 80% in less than 30 minutes. Audi will sell the SUV in both standard Q6 and sporty SQ6 guises.

Underpinning both models is a 100 kWh battery pack. The standard model will be driven by two electric motors producing approximately 375 hp with a power boost that increases this to 396 hp for short periods. Audi believes it can achieve a 373-mile (600 km) range figure with the standard model on the WLTP cycle. As for the flagship SQ6, Audi has indicated it will be good for 483 hp and 510 hp with the boost mode. It should be able to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in less than 4.5 seconds.

Audi will officially unveil the Q6 e-tron before the end of this year.
