AEV’s adventure rig for the Ram includes a full bathroom, a kitchen, and can sleep up to 4 people

If you own a full-size pickup truck and want to convert it into a rig perfect for long journeys, then this latest creation from American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) could be just about perfect. Known as the Prospector XL 550 Adventure Rig, it has been conceived as a home-away-from-home with the help of Bliss Mobil.
Showcased here on a Ram, the Prospector XL 550 Adventure Rig can be configured in one of five available layout options. This Ram has the Type 4 layout and has a massive 13-foot cabin that is packed with plenty of amenities. For example, there is a large bed that can be electrically raised and lowered from above the seating area, a U-shaped couch that can also be converted into a bed, and even a fully-equipped bathroom with a marine-grade ceramic yachting water toilet and waterproof cabinets.
American Expedition Vehicles has also found the space to equip the cabin with a kitchen that includes plenty of storage space, a microwave, an oven, and a grille. There is also space to fit an optional washing machine or another large appliance, like a fridge.

Other highlights of the cabin include a small TV, a large rectangular skylight that can be opened, and a glass bathroom door. The company has not said how much the rig weighs. The rig also includes a large storage box at the rear and can be fitted with a motorcycle carrier.
This particular Ram has also been equipped with a number of upgrades from AEV. These include a new front bumper, unique front fender flares, a 2-inch suspension lift, heavy-duty wheels and tires, splash guards, a snorkel, intercooler skid plate, AEV branding package, and new embroidered headrests.
