Jeep has introduced the 2024 Compass, which has restyled wheels and a lightly revised grille

The Jeep Compass is showing its age, so the automaker is trying to keep it fresh by announcing a handful of updates for 2024.
The changes are unsurprisingly minor, but the crossover receives restyled wheels as well as a “new front grille insert treatment.” The Compass Trailhawk also trades the current Falken WildPeak H/T tires for new Falken Wildpeak AT3W rubber.
While there isn’t much to get excited about, Jeep is holding the line on pricing as the Compass continues to start at $28,400. That’s significantly less than the Ford Bronco Sport, which begins at $31,320.

Higher-end trims see slight changes as the Compass Latitude climbs from $32,940 to $33,040. However, the range-topping High Altitude falls from $39,285 to $38,790 for a $495 savings.

Since the model largely carries over, we’ll briefly mention the entry-level Compass Sport has LED headlights, tinted glass, and 17-inch aluminum wheels. Buyers will also find a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch infotainment system. Other highlights include black cloth seats with blue contrast stitching, a six-speaker audio system, and a urethane steering wheel that will serve as a permanent reminder that you bought the base model.
On the safety front, there are a handful of standard driver assistance systems including Blind-Spot Monitoring, Pedestrian/Cyclist Automatic Emergency Braking, and Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking. They’re joined by Rear Cross Path Detection and Rear Seat Reminder Alert.
Higher-end variants pile on the features as the $35,795 Compass Limited has rain-sensing wipers, additional body-color components, and 18-inch wheels with a two-tone finish. Buyers will also find a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel and heated leatherette front seats with eight-way power adjustment on the driver’s side. They’re joined by an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a dual-zone automatic climate control system.
Regardless of which trim is selected, all models are equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine developing 200 hp (149 kW / 203 PS) and 221 lb-ft (299 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends power to a standard four-wheel drive system.
