Nissan dealers recently got a sneak peek at the redesigned Murano, but the current model is sticking around for 2024. However, there are a handful of changes as the automaker has “streamlined” the lineup by eliminating the entry-level S trim.

As a result, the Murano now starts at $37,920 instead of $34,160. That’s a big jump, but the 2023 Murano SV started at $37,700 so the ‘actual’ price increase is a far more palatable $220.

So what do buyers get for their extra money? Absolutely nothing on the now entry-level SV. However, the mid-level SL gains a newly standard panoramic moonroof and that’s a nice bonus as it used to be a $1,490 option.

While not much has changed, the 2024 Murano is now available at dealerships and the SV trim has LED lighting units and 18-inch alloy wheels. Buyers will also find a nicely equipped cabin that has a leather-wrapped steering wheel and heated leatherette front seats with power adjustment on both sides.

The amenities don’t end there as the crossover has a 7-inch display in the instrument cluster as well as an 8-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. They’re joined by metallic or wood trim, a six-speaker audio system, a dual-zone automatic climate control system, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

In terms of safety, the Murano comes with Intelligent Cruise Control, Intelligent Lane Intervention, and Intelligent Forward Collision Warning. Other standard driver assistance systems include Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Rear Automatic Braking, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Lane Departure Warning.

Higher-end trims are far more luxurious and the range-topping Platinum boasts diamond-quilted semi-aniline leather, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats. Buyers will also find a heated leather steering wheel, ambient lighting, and an 11-speaker Bose audio system. Other highlights include traffic sign recognition technology and an Intelligent Around View Monitor.

Regardless of which trim is selected, all models come equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 developing 260 hp (194 kW / 264 PS) and 240 lb-ft (325 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an Xtronic transmission, which can be paired to an optional all-wheel drive system for an extra $1,700.
