The facelifted Hyundai Tucson has been spied undergoing testing and it features a revised grille as well as updated lighting units

The Santa Fe got a bold and boxy redesign, but Hyundai is playing it safe when it comes to the facelifted Tucson.
That’s clear after taking a peek at the latest spy photos, which give us a better look at the updated crossover. As you can see, most of the changes occur up front as the Tucson adopts a new grille with a thick mesh pattern. However, mixed in with the bars, are four LED lighting units which presumably serve as turn signals and daytime running lights.
Additional changes are limited, but we can see an evolutionary front bumper that features angular accents and less of a ‘hood’ above the headlights. Further below, there’s a lightly revised intake.

The sides appear to carryover largely untouched, although the camouflage on the D-pillar suggests there could be changes to the chrome accent that flows into the rear window. We can also expect updated wheels and new taillights with three-dimensional graphics.
Spy photographers haven’t gotten a good look inside yet, so the extent of the changes remains a mystery. However, we wouldn’t be surprised to find an updated infotainment system as well as enhanced driver assistance systems.
Engine options remain unconfirmed, but the facelifted Tucson could have a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with an increased output of 191 hp (143 kW / 194 PS). We can also expect familiar hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants with possible upgrades for improved performance and efficiency.
