Those who own a V8-powered 2021-2023 Ford F-150 with the Pro Power Onboard system and looking for some extra grunt can now turn to Roush Performance to have their dreams fulfilled. Of course, Roush has been offering upgrade packages for the F-150 for many years now, so what’s exactly new here?
Well, up until this point, Roush had not been selling its supercharger kits to V8 F-150 models with the Pro Power Onboard power supply. This system turns the truck into a mobile generator and provides up to 2.0 kW of electrical output through two outlets in the bed for F-150 modes with a 2.7-liter V6, 3.5-liter V6, or 5.0-liter V8. It is the V8 model that Roush has now worked its magic on.

The upgrade consists of a Roush Performance TVS RS2650 supercharger that has four-lobe rotors twisted 170 degrees to improve thermal efficiency and boost volumetric capacity and airflow. Roush also installs a custom aluminum intercooler and a high-capacity coolant reservoir to give the truck a monumental 705 hp and 635 lb-ft (861 Nm) of torque. This equates to horsepower and torque gains of 305 hp and 225 lb-ft (305 Nm), about as much power as a hot hatch.
Roush has also made a couple of other upgrades to V8 F-150 models. For example, there are new spark plugs and a billet-aluminum viscous crankshaft damper to improve the durability and longevity of the engine. The tuner also says that interested customers can rest easy knowing that the supercharger kit will perform flawlessly during towing, hauling, and off-road driving. The kit also includes a 3-year / 36,000-mile limited powertrain warranty if it is installed by a Ford dealer or an Automotive Service Excellence-certified technician.
The supercharger package is priced from $8,469, not including installation fees.
