A thief in Temple Hills, Maryland has been caught on film making off with no less than seven vehicles after breaking into a car dealership.

The theft occurred in the late hours of last Thursday or early Friday morning at Global Auto Outlet, a large car dealership. Security cameras positioned within the dealership show the thief breaking in through a window before searching through offices to find the keys.

After finding some keys, the thief can be seen working out the best way to leave the lot. He then proceeded to smash through a gate at the rear of the dealership and ultimately made off with seven cars. It is unclear if the suspect was accompanied by anyone else or if this thief made several trips in and out of the dealership.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time the dealership has been targeted. Four months ago, another theft occurred and the owner of Global Auto Outlet believes it was likely orchestrated by the same individual.

Thefts also occurred at the dealership in mid-2022. In one incident, thieves used a crowbar and bolt cutters to make their way inside the dealership in an attempt to steal a safe with $30,000 of cash in it and dozens of car keys. While speaking with Fox 5 in June last year, the general manager of Global Auto Outlet said that incident was the third time the dealership had been hit that year.

NBC Washington understands that police are investigating the most recent theft but they don’t appear to have made any arrests at this stage.

News of this theft comes just a month after local and state police, plus the FBI, busted an auto theft ring on the East Coast accused of stealing millions of dollars worth of vehicles.
