The Nissan Patrol Warrior has officially launched in Australia as the ultimate, off-road-focused version of the 4×4. It has been brought to life by local engineering firm Premcar, in partnership with Nissan Australia, and joins the Navara Pro-4X Warrior and Navara SL Warrior in the company’s product line. It is also the most expensive road-going vehicle it has developed.
In creating the Patrol Warrior, Premcar says it focused on four key pillars: enhanced capability, road presence, the perfect soundtrack, and superb refinement. Boosting the 4×4’s capabilities are a 29 mm (1.1-inch) suspension lift and the fitment of 18-inch wheels and Yokohama G015 295/70 All-Terrain tires that contribute an extra 21 mm (0.8 inches) to the lift.
Additionally, the Patrol Warrior has a 40 mm (1.5-inch) wider track compared to the regular Patrol Ti it is based around. It also now sports a 40-degree approach angle, a 23.3-degree departure angle, a re-engineered Hydraulic Body Motion Control system, and re-developed front springs. Changes made under the skin continue with new progressive rate rear bump-stops, multi-rate rear springs, and a 48 kg (106 lbs) increase in carrying capacity.

Key visual changes include the aforementioned wheel and tire package as well as a unique front bumper assembly, a red Warrior branded bash plate, black fender flares, a new towbar, recovery points, black mirror caps, a black grille, and Warrior decals and badges. Premcar has also designed a 2.5 mm (0.09-inch) thick steel bash plate finished in red.
One final change bound to get local buyers excited is the fitment of a bi-modal exhaust that promises to unlock the inner animal of the Patrol’s 5.6-liter naturally-aspirated V8, rated at 298 kW (400 hp) at 5,800 rpm and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque at 4,000 rpm.
As all Patrol Warrior models are based on the Patrol Ti, the off-roader comes loaded with features. These include a rear helical limited-slip differential, heated wing mirrors, front and rear parking sensors, a traffic monitoring system, an 8-inch infotainment display, six speakers, and eight seats. It also has a tire pressure monitoring system and safety features like Intelligent Emergency Braking, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, and Intelligent Lane Intervention.
Local prices for the Nissan Patrol Warrior start at AU$101,160 ($64,798), a substantial increase from the AU$84,900 ($54,383) commanded by the regular Patrol Ti.
