While range anxiety is becoming less of an issue for buyers thinking about their daily commute, it is still a concern for drivers when it comes time for a vacation. Fortunately, Camp365 has just the product for outdoorsy pickup truck drivers who like to go camping.

The Camp365 model T is a bed-mounted folding RV pod that is designed to be as light and aerodynamic as possible. Although it could fit into the bed of any half-, three-quarter-, or one-ton pickup, its focus on improving range is ideal for EV owners.

For owners of the F-150 Lightning, Rivian R1T, and any other upcoming electric pickup, the model T will weigh just 700 to 800 lbs (318-363 kg). That’s considerably lighter than other bed-mounted campers, which ought to help with energy use.

Moreover, the folding design means that the model T will be surprisingly aerodynamic, further helping drivers extend their driving range. Despite being so small when it’s being driven, Camp365 maintains that campers will be able to stay warm in every season.

Moreover, it has water tanks, a kitchen, can sleep up to four occupants, and has enough room for an office. In addition, there’s 6’8″ (2.03 meters) of headspace, which is enough for even tall campers.

When in camping mode, the exterior dimensions of the model T are nine feet by seven feet (2.75×2.13 meters), and it offers 63 square-feet (5.8 square meters) of floor space. Meanwhile, in travel mode, it is just 79 inches (2 meters) tall, 87-inches (2.2 meters) long, and 48 inches (1.2 meters) wide.

That size means that, in addition to being aerodynamic, it’s also parking garage friendly, and can fit in a drive-thru. In addition, its stabilizing feet can be used to hold it up when you want to pull your truck out from under it.

Camp365 is taking $100 reservation for the model T and expects production to begin in the summer of 2024 with an MSRP of $25,000.
