Few cars excite car enthusiasts more than a classic Porsche 911 and a tastefully modified 1982 911 SC Coupe has just come across our desks. While this is not a 911 variant that collectors are paying high six-figures for, it has a lot going for it and we’re sure it would be heaps of fun to drive and own.

Those familiar with 911 SC models from this era will immediately notice that this one looks different than most. The main reason for this is that it is rocking 930 Turbo-inspired flared front and rear fenders that give it a dramatic new stance on the road. In addition, it has aftermarket fiberglass bumpers and a new rear spoiler.

Our favorite aspect of the car is the wheels. They are 15-inch Group 4 shores painted in gold and clad in Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring tires up front and Nitto NT555R tires at the rear. The car has also been fitted with brake calipers from a 930 Turbo that clamp down on cross-drilled and vented discs. Just in case that wasn’t enough to get you excited, the fact that the 911 was fitted with Bilstein shocks last year should.

Additionally, it has aftermarket spring plate bushings, powdercoated control arms, Elephant Racing ball joints, a new bump steer kit, 930 Turbo rear torsion bars, 930 Turbo tie rod ends, and new upper shock mount bushings.

Power comes from a 3.8-liter air-cooled flat-six built by Torque Power Engines in California. The Bring a Trailer listing notes the car has a gold-finished fan and intake manifold, a front-mount oil cooler, Rebel Racing engine mounts, and a custom exhaust system. There’s no word on power but we know the engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels.

Interestingly, this very same 911 was auctioned off through Bring a Trailer in May and fetched $92,500. It has been driven just ~14,000 miles (22,530 km) and appears set to sell for a similar sum.
