Infiniti has marked October 24, 2023, as a significant day in its history as it unveils plans to introduce four new sophisticated vehicles. This marks the beginning of a comprehensive range refresh, with the brand confirming that the new QX80 full-size SUV flagship is scheduled for launch next year, followed by a QX65 crossover coupe and two electric vehicles (EVs).

Starting with the QX80, the flagship SUV was recently previewed with the QX Monograph concept. Described as an “anti-wedge” model for its curvy body panels, it was characterized by an upright, muscular stance, and simple, clean surfacing details.

Infiniti says that the production QX80, which will be launched in 2024, will have the same “powerful profile and minimalist exterior.” Inside, it promises that the SUV will combine opulent materials with cutting edge technology, and three rows of seats.

The nearest-to-production concept of the four, it is also our best look at Infiniti’s “Artistry in Motion” design concept. It seeks to create clean but sculptural exteriors where body panels intersect seamlessly with lighting elements.

That same design ethos has been used for the Vision Qe, a look at the brand’s first electric vehicle. Its designers used that seamless intersection between lighting elements and body panels to interpret the brand’s grille for the electric era. Although there are few details about what will power the sedan, it is said to be aiming at the Tesla Model S, and Infiniti plans to build it in Canton, Mississippi.

The sedan will be followed by another EV, but this one will be an SUV. Only teased here, the concept is being called the Vision QXe (below). Although much remains to be learned about the model, it appears that it will use the same design language as the Vision Qe, and it looks like it will be larger than the upcoming QX65.

Infiniti calls this a bright new dawn for itself, as it aims to offer stylish, “human-centric” luxury for its buyers. It is counting on these four products to refresh its lineup, and to help it compete in key segments.
