Infiniti is gearing up for the SEMA Show by introducing a customized Q50 Red Sport 400.

Designed to show how a handful of accessories can transform the sedan into something truly unique, the model sports an eye-catching wrap with prominent badging. However, that isn’t the only special touch as the car rides on a set of 19-inch NISMO LM-RS1 forged alloy wheels. They’re rather fetching and can be had in an assortment of colors including black, anthracite, and bronze.

Interior changes are tame by comparison as the only update is a carbon fiber steering wheel finisher. It’s a $704 accessory that adds a splash of excitement to the cabin.

Bigger changes occur under the hood as the Q50 has been equipped with a cold-air intake, an upgraded heat exchanger, and a cat-back exhaust that has laser-etched Infiniti logos on the tips as well as an “exhilarating” note. The model also sports an auxiliary intercooler tank and a billet-aluminum coolant expansion tank, which offers a 70% higher capacity than the factory setup.

Infiniti’s Q50 Red Sport 400 SEMA Build Is A One-Off, But You Can Make Your Own

Power is provided by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6, which might, just might, be running Mobil 1 0w-20 advanced full synthetic motor oil. Badging overkill aside, Infiniti didn’t say if the upgrades add any performance to the stock output of 400 hp (298 kW / 406 PS) and 350 lb-ft (474 Nm) of torque.

Last but not least, the car has been equipped with Infiniti Performance Street brake pads that promise “increased stopping performance.” The suspension has also been thoroughly revised thanks to an assortment of components from Infiniti Performance.

While the model is a one-off, enthusiasts can create their own build using Infiniti Motorsport Parts which can be purchased online or through dealers. Since they’re factory-backed components, owners can make upgrades without voiding their vehicle’s warranty.
