One man’s attempt at having a dreamlike visit to Baltimore ended in a nightmare scenario. He valeted his newly acquired $120,000 Audi RS7 super-performance sedan, only to discover out later that the same person he entrusted to park his car had taken it for a joyride. What’s more, the alleged perpetrator claims that a second group of criminals subsequently stole it from him!

The incident occurred about two months ago at the swanky Pendry Hotel in Fells Point, a neighborhood in Baltimore, Maryland. Audi owner Brian Eller dropped his keys off with the valet service there and headed into the hotel for his date night. The following morning, the hotel manager arrived at his door to deliver the sour news.

“He said, ‘We have some bad news for you. Last night, our valet employee stole your car,’” Eller told Fox5. The owner says the car was worth some $120,000 leading us to believe that it’s an RS7 based on the photos. He says he recently purchased it and didn’t believe the manager at first. “I literally was like, you have to be kidding me. This has to be a dream. This has to be a joke,” he said.

The alleged valet employee in question is Jordan Richardson who police say drove the white sedan to a car meet in Canton. Sometime after that, Richardson alleges that three other individuals jumped in the car while he was sitting in the back seat and stole the car from him. Now it’s Richardson, not the alleged secondary thieves, that’s on the line for the theft.

Police found the car in tatters. “They destroyed the whole body. The doors don’t even open. There’s a full can of gas spilled in the car,” said Eller to Fox Baltimore. Video evidence from the impound lot does show that the car is much worse for wear. The front suspension, bumper, and driver’s side fender appear to have suffered significant damage.

While Eller claims to be out thousands of dollars, he should have an open-and-shut case with his insurance and with the hotel. The latter even generously extended an offer for him to stay again for free. Well, isn’t that just the cherry on top of his “valet-tastic” experience at the hotel?
